DuPont Co. (DD) is targeting about $2.3 billion in revenue by 2012 from its push to make more products from renewable sources, the company announced Tuesday. DuPont also said it has organized the broad effort into a segment called DuPont Applied BioSciences. Two years ago, Chief Executive Charles Holliday estimated the net present value of DuPont's bio-based materials push at about $3 billion, meaning that's how much the company thought future products - including biofuels - were worth at the time.
