| Biopack Receives Trademark Approval for European Union |

Biopack Environmental Solutions Inc. (OTCBB: BPEV) is pleased to announce that it has received approval from the Office of Harmonization for the International Market (the regulating body for Community Trademarks for the European Union) for the exclusive use of the Roots Biodegradable branding and logo in member nations of the European Union. Obtaining this trademark will allow Biopack to further enhance its brand recognition and increase its marketing exposure in one of the world's largest markets for biodegradable packaging. This is one of several trademarks obtained worldwide by Biopack in order to maintain exclusive proprietorship of their unique 100% biodegradable product. The Community Trademark Registration ("CTM") will confer Biopack rights in all 25 member states of the enlarged European single market. The following countries are covered by the CTM:
