Cereplast launches bio/petroleum PP hybrid |

Cereplast Inc. (Hawthorne, CA), manufacturer of bio-based renewable plastics, announced the launch of a new family of bio-based resins, Cereplast Hybrid Resins. The new products will join Cereplast’s existing line of compostable resins, Cereplast Compostables, potentially expanding the applications and markets for the company's resins. “In the past few months we’ve seen major demand from industries which aren’t used to looking at bioplastic,” Frederic Scheer, CEO of Cereplast, explained to MPW in a telephone interview, adding these companies need a higher-performance material.
