ASU contest sparks entrepreneurial ventures from organic fast food to green taxis |

Fifteen Arizona State University student-led ventures are launching as part of the third annual Edson Student Entrepreneur Initiative with ideas from biodegradable straws to a sustainable taxi business.
Seventy-eight student teams cutting across ASU campuses and disciplines competed for award money to explore ideas for business products and services or social good. Teams started organizing after attending an Edson Initiative training session, and then had to submit a brief proposal describing their business concept, marketing strategy and venture budget. Select ventures were presented to a panel of judges.
