| Recycling doubts over Belu bottles' green claims |

A company selling mineral water in what it describes as the "UK's
first compostable plastic bottle" has blamed the waste management
industry for being unable to recycle or compost its bottles.
Belu, based in central London, is marketing its mineral water on a
guilt-free consumer ticket, by pledging to send profits to water
projects in Africa. The company has been placing its products on retail
shelves this summer, including in Waitrose stores.
