| EREMA to recycle biopolymers at NPE2009 |

Plastics-recycling systems provider EREMA will include recycling PLA film at next month's NPE2009 tradeshow, turning biodegradable scrap-film materials into near virgin-quality pellets. According to Hanrahan, EREMA has been running recycling demonstrations of bioplastics at the Ipswich, Massachusetts facility for years and for some customers reclaiming bioplastic waste with EREMA equipment is a regular part of their day-to-day operations. In Europe alone, for the last five years approximately 20 million pounds per year or more of biopolymers were recycled on EREMA systems.
