| Report: Natureworks cuts jobs, will ramp up production |
| Bioplastics resin producer Natureworks reportedly has had to lay off as much as a third of its work force amid slumping sales, but the company's second 150 million-pound line will come online at its Blair, Neb., plant in June, as expected, an official said. The expansion should double Natureworks' capacity for polylactic acid production to 300 million pounds. |
