|
Eco-Polymers, a new company which has been
established in Dubai and Sharjah announced that they have signed a
contract with Symphony Environmental Ltd, a British public limited
company, as exclusive distributors in the UAE for Symphony's range of
d2w oxo-biodegradable plastic additives.
The agreement also includes building a factory to produce these products, to meet growing demand in the Middle East.
Ordinary plastic and recycled plastic can now be made
oxo-biodegradable. This is done by including d2w additive (see
www.degradable.net) which makes them degrade, then biodegrade, on land
or at sea, in the light or the dark, in heat or cold, in whatever
timescale is required, leaving no fragments, no methane and no harmful
residues. d2w oxo-biodegradable products meet American Standard 6954,
and is made from a by-product of oil refining which used to be wasted.
