Green tech stock soars on biodegradable plastics launch |

Environmentally-friendly plastic is the future for one firm Tuesday,
while an alternative energy stock popped on a solar contract. Northern Technologies International
shares soared 35% to $11.10 on Tuesday after the environmentally
beneficial products provider reported that it has recently launched a
new business unit, Natur-Tec, in which biobased and biodegradable
plastics are manufactured using NTI technologies and are intended to
replace conventional petroleum-based plastics.
