| Nokia to launch around 40 new biodegradable mobile phones this year |

In order to make mobile phones biodegradable, Nokia is all set to launch around 40 new green mobile phone models this year. Further it plans to use biodegradable phone covers and recyclable battery designs as they contain less toxic materials.
Biomaterials like polylactic acid (PLA) plastics with plant or other biomass-based modifiers if used in the mobile phone will help reduce the use of non-renewable materials, claims the company.
