Bio-Based Composite Materials Supplier Wins $775,000 Grant

GreenCore Composites Inc., a manufacturer of natural-fiber composites based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, was recently the recipient of a $775,000 (CAN) grant from the Ontario BioAuto Council Commercialization Fund (Guelph, Ontario, Canada), to foster further development of its trademarked Green Inside fiber-reinforced thermoplastic materials. “The innovation showcased in the Green Inside pellets produced by GreenCore Composites made our decision to invest very easy,” says Dr. Bernard West, chair of the Ontario BioAuto Council. “The BioAuto Council is excited to support the commercialization of this world-class technology in an Ontario enterprise.”
