Peterborough plastics firm switching to biodegradable plastic

Plastics and environmentally friendly rarely go hand in hand. But a Peterborough company is working with a product that is a biodegradable plastic made entirely from renewable resources.

Harco Enterprises Ltd., at 675 The Parkway, has been a family-run business for 44 years making a variety of moulded plastic items, especially disposable items such as cutlery, stir sticks and bowls often used by food outlets.

NaturesPlast is the green product the company started distributing last month.
