Vice Chairman of Groupe Danone Brings Strategic Expertise to Cereplast
HAWTHORNE, Calif., Jan. 07, 2008- Cereplast, Inc. (OTCBB: CERP), manufacturer of proprietary bio-based, sustainable plastics, appointed Jacques Vincent, vice chairman and advisor to the chairman of Groupe Danone, to its board of directors. As a leader of one of the largest food product companies in the world, Vincent’s worldwide business expertise will provide Cereplast an outstanding resource during the current growth period of the company.
Vincent is a new addition to the board and will join Brian Altounian, Petros Kitsos and Cereplast Chairman and CEO Frederic Scheer to form the four-member board of directors at Cereplast. The board of directors provides decades of experience in finance and administration for both counsel and support, and is built to lead Cereplast into long-term growth.

Vincent was recently named vice chairman and advisor to the chairman and previously served as the vice chairman and chief operating officer at Groupe Danone. He began his career with Danone in 1970 and has since held various financial and overall management positions within the company. Vincent is a graduate engineer of the Ecole Centrale, Paris, holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Paris University and a master’s of science from Stanford University.
In addition to Vincent’s position at Groupe Danone, he is also the chairman of Daniel Carasso Research Center and Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon, and a board member of Syngenta in Switzerland and Yakult Honsha in Japan.
