Plantic part of M&S ‘A’ team

Australian biodegradable packaging firm Plantic Technologies has been chosen by a UK supermarket chain to provide trays for a range of its chocolates.

Marks and Spencer (M&S) said it chose the Plantic tray because it is made from renewable and sustainable resources - non-GM corn starch.

The material’s biodegradability, and the fact that it is home compostable and compostable to European standards (EN13432), was another influencing factor.
